Drinks at the Stag Inn
We aim to offer a range of wines, beers and ciders, ideally sourced in locally (Wales and the border areas).
Cask ale is our speciality and we pride ourselves on the quality of our hand-pulled beers. Butty Bach (4.5% ABV), from the Wye Valley Brewery in Stoke Lacey) is always available. We also offer a lighter beer (less than 4.0%) on the second pump – our regulars here are Mojo (from the Monty's brewery in Montgomery) and Snowdonia (from the Purple Moose brewery in Porthmadog), which we tend to alternate. Bishop's Finger (from Shepherd Neame in Kent) now occupies the third pump. A beer from Kent is clearly not in keeping with our 'LocAle' policy, but we were unable to find a 'traditional' strong ale (ie 5% or more ABV, and chestnut-coloured rather than golden) from this area. more
